Teams and access
How workspaces, seats, invites and roles work in Metric Vault, and where to go for each task.
Last updated 2026-08-06
Summary#
Every Metric Vault account owns one workspace. On the Pro plan and above you can invite other people into it, which puts them on your team, gives them your Blog Studio at the role you choose, and lets you manage that list in one place. This section explains how invites, seats, roles and shared data actually behave, so you can plan a rollout without surprises.
Overview#
Three ideas carry the whole model, and the rest of this section builds on them.
A workspace is an account. There is no separate "create a workspace" step. Your workspace exists from the moment you sign up, it is identified by your account email, and you are permanently its owner. See Workspace ownership.
Membership is an invitation you send by email. You invite someone, they open a link and confirm their address, and from then on your workspace is listed in their dashboard alongside their own. See Inviting teammates.
Seats come from your plan. Starter and Free include no invites at all; Pro includes 4, Agency includes 14, and Enterprise is effectively unlimited. The owner never counts against the number. See Seats and plan limits.
Set up a team#
- Inviting teammates — send an invite, what the recipient sees, and how they accept.
- Seats and plan limits — the seat allowance per plan, what consumes a seat, and the exact message you get at the cap.
- Removing a member — remove a member, and what happens to their access and their work.
Understand access#
- Roles and what each can do — the roles you can assign, what each one controls, and which parts of the product read them.
- What teammates share — precisely what a teammate can see in your workspace, and what stays private to each account.
- Workspace ownership — what only the owner can do, and where ownership transfer stands today.
Run client work#
- Client workspaces — how agencies run several clients through one sign-in, and what the plan allowance covers.
