Release notes

What changed in Metric Vault, newest first, grouped by month. The platform ships continuously and has no version numbers.

Last updated 2026-08-12

Summary#

Metric Vault ships continuously. There are no version numbers, no numbered releases and no maintenance windows: a change is live on metricvaultai.com as soon as it is finished and verified. This page is therefore a change log by period rather than by version, newest first, covering the platform from its first month to today.

Overview#

Read this page for three reasons: to find out when something you rely on changed, to see what has arrived since you last looked, and to check whether a behavior you remember is still current.

Three things to know about how it is written.

  • Grouped by month, not by version. Each section lists the customer-visible changes that landed in that month, gathered by theme rather than in the order they happened.
  • Dates are when the change went live, because deploying is what makes a change real here.
  • It describes what changed, not everything that was done. Internal refactoring, test tooling and operator-only work are left out unless you would notice the result.

Where a change altered a documented number or behavior, the article that owns that fact has been updated too; follow the link rather than relying on the summary here.

Note

Note: Because there are no versions, "which version am I on?" has no answer. Everyone is on the current platform at all times. If a change is listed below, your account has it.

August 2026#

The largest month for in-app guidance, saved work and language coverage.

AreaWhat changed
Tool explainersEvery tool section gained a rich in-app explainer below the tool: Get Started workflows, Keyword & Content Research, Site Health, Competitors & Backlinks, AI Visibility, Write & Optimize, Promote, Image Tools and Track & Report. Each one explains the tool, shows a worked demo and links back to the input. See In-app tool explainers
Get RecommendationsRebuilt as a staged panel that reads your result and writes an action plan, reachable from the result tab bar as well as from under the result. Access is now decided by plan, with a monthly limit per plan. See Get Recommendations
LibraryA new Saved Work workspace: results grouped by tool, search and filtering handled server-side, paging with Load more, and per-item Run fresh and delete, singly or in bulk. See Saved Work
ResultsResults now open summary-first, with View Full Report to expand, and long reports are grouped into category tabs. Result width is capped so a report no longer sprawls on a wide screen. See Executive summaries and result tabs
LanguagesTranslation extended from the dashboard to the whole site, including dynamic text such as toasts, loading messages and dialogs, and feature and section names. The sign-in page and all four policy pages now carry all six languages including Russian. See Supported languages
Free toolsAI Search Visibility Checker, GEO Audit and SEO Competitor Analysis joined the free suite, and eight existing pages gained full guides, playbooks and FAQs. See Free tools, no account needed
Light and darkLight mode was completed across the free tools, the blog, pricing and the policy pages, and every severe light-mode contrast failure was fixed. See Light and dark mode
NavigationThe public navigation bar and footer became a single shared component across all 21 public pages, with a working mobile menu and a compact language pill
HomepageThe platform walkthrough replaced its screenshots with nine animated tool demos, and the hero became a domain bar you can type into
Blog StudioA usable media library with reuse, copy, download and safe delete; AI title suggestions; automatic internal linking that tells you which links it added; and a schedule field that accepts a half-typed date without storing the wrong one. See Blog Studio
ExportsExport and share buttons stay disabled until a result exists, and re-disable when a new run starts. Exports now follow the view you are on: on a result tab they export that tab's content, and View Full Report — now sitting right after the tabs, before Get recommendations — reveals the whole report in place so the same buttons export everything. Export was also removed from the five screens that produce no result (Integrations, Rank Alerts, the two Vaults, the Live Writing Editor). See Exporting results
Sign-inA signed-out visitor to the dashboard is sent to the sign-in page instead of a dead-end screen, and returns to the app afterwards
SecurityDeleting a saved result now requires a verified session, not just an address

July 2026#

Billing became real, data got cheaper and faster, and the content and social sides of the product filled out.

AreaWhat changed
BillingStripe subscriptions were connected to what your account can actually do, and the pricing page was rebuilt around it. The Free plan was restored to the public grid and the credit figures in the comparison table were corrected. See Plans and pricing
CachingA shared data cache went in front of the search-data provider in three stages until every eligible tool was covered, each with its own lifetime. Repeating a recent identical run now returns in a fraction of the time. See Result caching and freshness
Get RecommendationsExtended from a handful of tools to every analysis tool, driven by one shared rule set
New toolsForum & Reddit Visibility, Editorial Workflow & Calendar, Live Writing Editor, Image Support, Localization, GEO Content Scorer, Duplicate Content Audit and Backlink Hygiene Toolkit. Publish Integrations arrived in beta, draft-only. Local SEO and Reputation were merged into a single GBP Audit with full profile details. See Tool catalog and credit cost
ExportsEvery tool's export was routed through one engine producing real PDF, Excel, CSV and JSON, replacing screenshot-style PDFs with proper vector text
NavigationThe first section became Get Started, Account & Team was added, and merged tools kept their own screens behind a tab strip rather than losing one
PageSpeedThe report was rebuilt to match Google's own PageSpeed Insights layout, and made resilient to a single provider key running out. See PageSpeed & Vitals
SocialPost scheduling arrived with a queue, a composer and a background runner. See Scheduled social posts
LibraryActivity history gained a timeline, filters and a detail panel, real pagination, and the ability to replay a saved run as the original report rather than raw data
LanguagesRussian was added, and tool results began being translated as they render
DialogsNative browser alerts and prompts were replaced with accessible in-app dialogs
AssistantThe Metric Vault Assistant gained document and image attachments, a stop button, and Analyze this screen
LayoutThe sidebar gained a visible collapse toggle, and the content area widens when it is collapsed

June 2026#

A design pass across the whole app, and the browser extension's second generation.

AreaWhat changed
Chrome extensionThe SEO Quickview popup was rebuilt, then given a real AI Visibility score, a real twelve-month sparkline and a corrected authority scale. See The Chrome extension
Before you runEvery section and tool gained a designed pre-run screen explaining what it does and what you will get, instead of an empty box with a text field
WorkflowsWorkflow output was upgraded so each tool inside a workflow renders its full standalone report rather than a reduced summary
Content toolsContent Optimizer, the brief and outline generators and the content gap analysis were rebuilt with scoring, prioritized fixes and copyable suggestions
My ContentThe content library became a real workspace with counts by state, quick add, filtering and per-item actions
PageSpeed reliabilityProvider keys are now rotated, with a diagnostic behind it, so a single exhausted key no longer breaks the tool
AI Article GeneratorGained a short-form mode and per-phase progress, so a long generation reports what it is doing instead of appearing to hang

May 2026#

Payments, plans and the first real AI-visibility measurement.

AreaWhat changed
PaymentsCheckout, subscription confirmation on return, and a verified Stripe webhook that upgrades on payment and downgrades when a subscription is cancelled or goes unpaid. See Subscription states
Plan gatingPlan limits became real rather than cosmetic: seat limits per plan, white-label reporting from Pro upwards, and API keys and scheduled briefs on Enterprise. See Plan capability matrix
Plan structureThe public plans were aligned to a single consistent set of tiers and prices
AI visibilityThe first real large-language-model tracking framework behind Visibility Overview, Prompt Research and Prompt Tracking, replacing modelled figures with measured ones. Anything still estimated was relabelled as an estimate. See Visibility Overview
Competitor MonitorCompleted: the missing management actions (update, delete, check now and the rest) were implemented, and the change history became usable. See Competitor Monitor
Speed and costProvider responses began being cached for one to thirty days depending on how volatile the data is, cutting both cost and waiting time
Working contextAn active domain in the top bar carries across tools, and a shared date-range control drives every time-series chart
ReportsRoughly forty individual tool reports were redesigned into the layout the product uses today

  • The NEW badge in the tool list marks recently added tools. See Badges and status indicators.
  • Documentation changelog records changes to this documentation, which is a different thing from changes to the platform.
