Outreach + CRM

A planned workspace for link-building and PR outreach that is not available yet — the screen currently shows an in-development placeholder.

Last updated 2026-09-10

Summary#

Outreach + CRM is listed in the Competitors & Backlinks section but is not built yet. Opening it shows an in-development placeholder describing what the tool will do. There is nothing to run, no input to fill in and no credit cost.

Purpose#

This page records the planned scope so the intent is written down somewhere. The tool is not listed in the sidebar: Metric Vault used to list planned tools in their eventual position, and that was changed on 2026-09-10 because a nav entry leading to a "not available yet" card is a dead end rather than a preview. The entry goes back the day the tool ships.

The tool's stated scope, in the app's own words: it "Will manage link building and PR outreach, tracking contacts, sequences and replies in one place."

Overview#

The screen shows a wrench icon, the title Outreach + CRM, that one-line description, a badge reading In development with a pulsing dot, and the note "This tool is not available yet. It is listed here so you can see where it will live."

That is the entire screen. There is no input row, no run button, no result area and no export row.

There is no sidebar entry to find. The view still exists and still renders its in-development card, so a saved link or a typed URL reaches it, but nothing in the app points there. Badge meanings for the tools that ARE listed are covered in Tool status badges.

Benefits#

None yet — the tool does not run. What the placeholder gives you is certainty: you can stop looking for outreach tracking elsewhere in the product, and you know where it will appear.

Use Cases#

  • Checking availability. You read about outreach management and want to know whether it exists today. It does not.
  • Planning a workflow. You are deciding whether to keep outreach in an external CRM for now. You should, until this ships.
  • Onboarding a team. Nobody will stumble on this in the sidebar any more, but if someone asks what happened to a link they had saved, this page is the answer.

Requirements#

None. The placeholder is visible to any signed-in account on any plan, including Free.

Permissions#

No plan gate and no role gate applies, because nothing runs. Every signed-in workspace member sees the same placeholder screen. Signed-out visitors do not reach the dashboard at all.

Cost#

No credits. There is no run action, so nothing can be charged. When the tool ships, its cost will be published in Tool catalog and credit cost and Credit cost table. See How credits work for how credits work generally.

Not reachable from the sidebar. The view still exists at /dashboard#/outreachcrm for anyone holding an old link.

Inputs#

The screen has no inputs.

FieldAcceptsRequiredDefaultValidationNotes
The in-development placeholder has no input fields, no run button and no options

Step-by-Step Guide#

  1. Open /dashboard#/outreachcrm directly; it is not in the sidebar.
  2. Read the description and the In development badge.
  3. Leave the screen. For work you need to do today, use Link Prospector for link targets and Press Pitch Assistant for press outreach.

Reading the Results#

There are no results. The screen never changes state — it does not load, fetch or render anything. If you expected a report here, the tool you want is one of these:

Build a list of sites to approach for linksLink Prospector — returns real prospects with authority scores, priority tiers and a written outreach opener for each

Examples#

Example

Example: You are planning a link campaign and open Outreach + CRM expecting a contact pipeline. You find the in-development placeholder. Instead, you run Link Prospector on your domain, export the prospect list, and track replies in your existing CRM or a spreadsheet. When Outreach + CRM ships, that exported list is the data you will bring across.

Tips#

  • Keep your outreach records exportable. Whatever you use in the meantime, hold contacts and statuses in a format you can move later.
  • Export prospect lists from Link Prospector as CSV so they are ready to import when this ships.
  • Watch Release notes rather than re-checking the screen.

Best Practices#

  • Do not build a process that assumes this tool exists. Nothing in the product currently tracks contacts, sequences or replies.
  • Use the Library for the artefacts you generate — prospect lists, pitch kits — so the work itself is preserved even though the pipeline is not.
  • Treat the placeholder's description as the intended scope, not a commitment to a date. No release date is published.

Common Mistakes#

  • Looking for it in the sidebar. It is not there, and its absence is deliberate. The tool is not built; when it is, the entry returns.
  • Waiting for it before starting outreach. Link Prospector already produces the list and the opener; only the tracking layer is missing.
  • Reporting it as a bug. The empty screen is intentional and is what the app is designed to show.

Limitations#

  • The tool does not run. There is no contact list, no sequence builder, no reply tracking, no import and no export.
  • Nothing on the screen is configurable.
  • No release date is published.
  • The sidebar badge does not reflect build status.

FAQs#

Can I get early access? There is no early-access path for this tool. It is not running behind a flag or a plan gate — the functionality has not been built.

Will it cost credits when it launches? That has not been published. When it ships, its cost will appear in Tool catalog and credit cost and Credit cost table like every other tool.

Will it be on my plan? Unknown. No plan gate is announced. What is certain is that today the placeholder is visible on every plan, including Free, because nothing runs.

What is the closest thing available now? Link Prospector for link targets, including a written outreach opener for each prospect, and Press Pitch Assistant for media pitches with a follow-up sequence.

Are there other placeholder tools like this? Yes. HARO-Style Journalist Matching is the other one in this area of the product, and it shows the same in-development screen.

How will I know when it ships? Through Release notes. The screen itself changes only when the tool is built.
